Attendance

Students must try to come to school every day on the school calendar. If your child is sick or cannot come to school, you must call the attendance office.   Phone numbers are: 359-5242 or 359-5244

If your family plans to be out of town, send a note to inform the school before you leave. When your child returns to school, you need to send a note that says when your child was absent and explain the reason for the absence.

Your child also needs a written note when he/she has an appointment and will come to school late or leave school early.

If you do not write the notes excusing your child from school, they will be marked truant or absent without permission.    This information is recorded in their school records.

School Nurse

Any medical information about your child must be shared with the school nurse. She needs to know about health problems, such as allergies or asthma. If your child needs to take medicine at school, a parent must bring it to the nurse with directions in English and signed by the doctor.   The nurse can not give out any medication without parent permission.
