Alternative PE Contract

    Any student in grades 10-12 may request approval for an out-of-school alternative instructional activity, of comparable time, in lieu of their regular physical education class. If you decide to select this alternative instruction, you will have to abide by some requirements unique to the Alternative Contract. Please be sure to carefully read the following and if you have any questions make sure to see your PE Teacher for clarification.(Application can be found at the bottom of this page).

     

     

    Prerequisites:

    1.      In order to apply you must have had a passing grade in PE the quarter/semester before (85% or higher).

    2.      You must be performing at, and maintain a passing grade of, 85% or higher, for the current marking period.

    3.      Performance on quarterly Fitness Testing must meet or exceed 15 out of 20.

    4.      Successfully complete a 5 week try-out period in which you demonstrate to your PE Teacher your ability to actively participate in class activity and follow class policies/procedures.

    **Please note that prerequisites will need to be achieved at the start of EVERY quarter**

     

     

    Alternative Contracts Requirements:

     

    1.      Student must be under direct supervision of a CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR for their chosen activity.

    2.      160 minutes of instruction is required each week (competition/game time does not count towards instructional time).
