CO2 Dragsters have long been a crowd favorite at Roth. Eighth grade students design their cars using Inventor 3D software. Then they go into the production lab to build. Throughout this unit, students learn about "Mechanics of Motion." They have the opportunity to apply things they have learned in Science class dealing with momentum and acceleration. They are also able to calculate speeds using the formula Speed= Distance/Time. This is the ultimate STEM activity!!!
