I had a very exciting adventure as I moved in furniture for the TV show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. I am sharing the pictures and story with you because our school district has a mission to foster responsible citizenship and I wanted to make some connections for you and show you what that can look like and how much fun it can be. The TV show tells us some incredible stories about people who make a difference in their community by giving their time, efforts and resources but who sometimes struggle to make ends meet themselves.
I was a very small part of a story of the Hill family from Geneva. I moved some furniture and put together a children's easel in one the kids' bedroom. It was a little bit of my time but a time I'll never forget. I've never met the Hill family but I hope to some day so I can wish them well and thank them for making the world a better place.
