About Ms. List

  • The 2025-26 school year will be my 15th year teaching! I have taught 4th grade at Sherman for the past 12 years. 

    I have always known I would be a teacher. I attended Nazareth University for both my Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics/Inclusive Education and my Masters in Literacy. I eventually bought a house right next to Nazareth. Go Golden Flyers! My favorite part of the school day is math! 

    As a kid, I enjoyed riding my bike, reading, and having fun with my family and friends. Much of that has not changed. I am the mom to a fun and energetic 5-year-old. You can often find us racing down the Erie Canal on our bikes, Stand-Up Paddleboarding, working in the garden, or hiking with our Golden Retriever, Moses. We had many fun adventures this summer.

     Fun Facts About Ms. List

    • She has an energetic golden retriever named Moses. 
    • She enjoys jumping off a bridge (bungee jumping that is!)
    • Her favorite book is Harry Potter (She has taken pilgrimages to both the real Kings Cross Station in London and The Wizard World of Harry Potter at Universal in Florida!)
    • She loves M&Ms (plain only!)
    • She is a Saranac 6er and a Lake Placid 9er. If you know, you know! If you don't, ask Google!  
    • She can't do a cartwheel (but wants to learn how). 
    • She is a certified foster parent and adopted her son in 2022. 
    • She could eat pizza for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! 
    • She loves to swim and Stand Up Paddleboard. 
    • Coached the Sherman 5k club for several years and loves to run a 5k with her students! 
    • She believes kindness is the most important thing!
